What is SASDI?
The South African Spatial Data Infrastructure (SASDI) is the national technical, institutional and policy framework that facilitates the capture, management, maintenance, integration, distribution and use of spatial information in the country.
SASDI was established by the Spatial Data Infrastructure Act (Act 54 of 2003) and is coordinated by the Committee for Spatial Information (CSI), which operates under the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development.

Promote the use of standards for spatial data to ensure interoperability

Coordinate spatial information activities across all spheres of government
