About the CSI

The Committee for Spatial Information (CSI) was established by the Spatial Data Infrastructure Act (Act 54 of 2003) to coordinate SASDI implementation and advise the Minister on spatial information matters.

The committee comprises representatives from base dataset custodians and is supported by working groups focusing on standards, metadata, and policy development.
